Hey Lonnie. I saw your PROO rewrite notes post (thanks to the link you sent me to it in our ask) and I loved it. Your ideas are so cool and were very fun to read. I especially laughed a bit at the "MackBook Pro" joke you made when you talked about Mack. Hell, your post even inspired some ideas for my own PROO rewrite.
So, after reading it, I thought of asking you a couple questions, though I kinda got distracted and almost forgot to do it, so apologizes in advance. Anyways, here are my questions to you:
- Do you plan on doing posts on how you'd rewrite other PR seasons outside of Operation Overdrive? (Regardless of if you chose to do it or not, I'm curious as to how you'd rewrite those seasons)
- How did you do/organize your OO rewrite post and publish it with the 4,096 characters limit with Tumblr posts? (I ask bc I tried doing a post like that with my Power Rangers Reimagined project starting with S.P.D., but when I got to something involving Emperor Gruumm, it said I couldn't publish my post past the character limit, I felt stuck and didn't know what to do; idk how you got passed it, so I thought of asking you on how you organized your PROO rewrite post and how I could organize mine so that I can publish them without the character limit problem in my way; not trying to be rude or anything like that, just thought I'd ask you, both out of curiosity and for some help)

First of all, sorry this reply took so long, it kept slipping my mind and I forgot it was on my to-do list for a while.
Second of all, thanks! Nice to know I’m not just shouting into the void and other people do enjoy reading my ideas 😊
As for other seasons, I probably have some ideas but nothing that concrete at this time. It’s been a while since I watched Power Rangers with much consistency (really need to get work on finishing Dino Fury!), and I focused on Operation Overdrive mainly since it’s one that tends to get a lot of criticisms and rank low with people (although I think I’m actually slightly more positive about it than the average fan 🤷). I might tackle Megaforce if the inspiration strikes since it’s another one that missed the mark (again, I think I liked it a lot more than a lot of other people… but it’s still a doozy). I’ve also, like a lot of people, been tinkering with ideas for adaptations of skipped Sentai like Lupinranger/Patranger… but again, that’s if I have the energy.
In the mean time, some other reading for anyone interested:
- An original Power Rangers cast created by me
- An idea for an original drama series inspired by PR and Sentai
And as for the other question… I’m not sure? I don’t think I’ve ever been hit with a cap while writing long posts, but that one was from back a few years ago, so maybe the limitations just changed. I haven’t been posting much of my own stuff lately, so I wouldn’t have really noticed if the way it works changed 😅

I ask bc I wanted to fully check out your post (as I've seen it around and have been meaning to check it out for awhile, but wanted to wait until I watched the full season of OO to see it since I was in the beginning at that point in time when I saw it) and see your ideas on how you would rewrite that season. However, by the time I finished the season and got on Tumblr, I found that the post is now unfortunately nowhere to be seen and I thought I'd ask you on its whereabouts.
Did you delete the post, or did something happen on Tumblr to get rid of the post? If you by any chance deleted it, what was your reasoning for that? Did you want to revamp/improve it or was it some kind of accident?
I'm not saying all of this to be rude or anything like that, I'm just asking out of curiosity because I'd love to read your ideas on how you'd rewrite OO, as that post (despite not reading it in full) inspired me to make my own posts on how I'd rewrite each season of Power Rangers, including the movies, especially the 2017 reboot movie.

Huh, weirdly enough, when I searched “power rangers” on my blog, it said there were no posts (which definitely isn’t true), but when I went scouring old posts of mine, I eventually found it. I guess that’s Tumblr for ya.
It’s several years old, and I never went back to revise it as planned (life y'all) so it’s definitely in need of polish, but I’m glad other people seem to enjoy my ramblings about hokey children’s shows (affectionate)
I don’t think anyone uses “gee” unironically. If you start a sentence with, “gee” it 100% of the time means you’re about to say something sarcastic
